Ocean Rider, Inc., the first commercial seahorse farm in the world, began producing seahorses for the marine aquarium pet industry in 1998.  Habitat destruction and over fishing have pushed the seahorse onto the endangered species list where it is on the verge of extinction.  Ocean Rider now has the world’s only living and breeding gene bank of seahorses and seadragons.  You can visit the seahorses and contribute to ocean conservation on scheduled daily tours Monday through Friday.
