We are excited to share that Pacific Hybreed, after a few months construction and despite COVID 19, has started operations at its new biosecure breeding station at NELHA. The hatchery will produce Kumamoto oysters and rock scallops.
Pacific Hybreed is also part of a NOAA funded project to develop genetic markers for resistance to the virus causing Pacific oyster mortality syndrome (or POMS). Read more here.
